A smoother chin surface

A dimpled chin can become particularly visible when the muscle contracts. By reducing that activity, Botox can soften small indentations and give the area a calmer appearance.

We assess chin movement and its relationship with the lower lip. The aim is to address the uneven surface; treatment does not itself change the shape of the chin bone.

No. Here the term describes a dimpled surface that may occur when the chin muscle contracts.

Will treatment make my chin project further?

No. Botox changes muscle activity. If you want more projection or volume, this needs a separate assessment.

Can the lower lip be affected?

Yes. Nearby muscles may be temporarily affected. This can change lip movement or symmetry, and we discuss the risk before treatment.

When will I see a result, and how long will it last?

A visible result can typically be expected after 10–14 days, with effects lasting around 3–4 months. The result is normally reviewed after about 14 days. Muscle activity, the treated area and your response can affect both the change and its duration.
